The Department of Public and Nonprofit Studies is accepting applications for part‑time faculty positions in Public Administration, Public Policy, and Nonprofit Management for the 2025–2026 academic year. Positions are semester‑by‑semester, on an as‑needed basis, and require work in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses in Public Administration, Public Policy, and/or Nonprofit Management.
- Teach in various modalities (hybrid and online), as required.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications- Master’s or doctoral degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Public Affairs, Nonprofit Management, or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in one of those areas.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with and support student populations in various learning environments.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Doctorate in the same fields with at least 18 graduate semester hours.
- Practitioner experience in public service.
- Post‑secondary teaching experience.
- Experience teaching online or hybrid courses.
- Familiarity with learning management systems.
Letter addressing qualifications, curriculum vitae, and contact information for at least three professional references. Additional documentation may be requested.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities- Customer‑service orientation.
- Support various constituencies of the university.
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and relevant applications.
- Adherence to university policies and procedures.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Organizational and human‑relations skills.
