Job SummaryLead archery instruction, archer development and instructor development, engaging with archers of all skill levels from beginner to elite through archery classes, camps, seminars, clinics, special events, outreach programs, clubs and competitions.
Responsibilities- Provide instruction for archers of all skill levels
- Maintain day-to-day operations of the Archery Center to create a safe, clean and enjoyable environment
- Maintain all archery related equipment
- Assist in hosting various archery competitions, facility special events, and departmental events
- Serve as rotating Rangemaster and enforce established policies and procedures
- Assist in marketing all SSEC programs and services in various formats
- Serve as the instructor of the Southern Eagles Archery club
- Utilize risk management best practices while maintaining industry standards
- Serve on University and departmental work teams and committees as needed
- Bachelor's Degree in recreation, management, or a related field
- One (1) or more years of related work experience
- CPR/AED/First Aid certified instructor
- USA Archery Level 3-NTS coach certification or 4-H Archery Instructor certification
- USA Archery Certified Judge
- Master's Degree
- Coaching experience with JOAD, 4-H or club level archery club
- Experience competing or instructing in the shooting sports
- Experience hosting large-scale, successful archery tournaments
- Experience working in an educational setting
$43,067 - $53,834 (exempt position paid on a monthly basis)

- Proven proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Google, and/or applications as required for specific position
- Demonstrate ability to safely shoot a crossbow, compound and/or recurve bow
- Adhere to University policies and procedures to meet Institutional goals and support University's mission for student success
- Working knowledge of hosting a large-scale archery tournament
- Working knowledge to teach/coach students according to recognized archery curriculum standards
- Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relation skills
