Department Information

The School of Accountancy, which is fully accredited by AACSB International, provides excellence in accounting education through teaching, research, and service. The School offers the BBA in Accounting and the Master of Accounting degrees, the latter of which is offered in two formats: traditional and online. The School enrolls more than 600 students in its undergraduate and graduate degree programs and employs 18 full-time accounting and legal studies faculty members.

Job Summary

The School of Accountancy is now accepting applications for a pool of part-time faculty positions for the  academic year. These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities
  • Teach principles of accounting courses
  • Applicants may be asked to teach in various modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, and online).

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications
  • Earned masters degree in accounting, or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Accounting.
  • Evidence of the potential for above average teaching ability.
  • Evidence of effective communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Related professional experience
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFE, CIA, and CISA)
