Department Information
Within this setting, the Radiography program is one of five concentrations leading to the Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Science (BSRS) Degree and one of ten accredited programs in the Department of Clinical Sciences. The radiography program coordinator is responsible for the overall operation of the radiography concentration and works with other concentration program coordinators to assess the BSRS degree program.
Job Summary
Reporting to the department chair, the program coordinator responsibilities include:
- Assuring effective program operations
- Overseeing ongoing program accreditation, assessment processes, and developing and updating curriculum
- Participating in budget planning
- Participating in didactic and laboratory instruction
- Maintaining current knowledge of the professional discipline and educational methodologies through continuing professional development
- Assuming the leadership role in the continued development of the program
- Service on program, department, college, and university committees
- Participation and attendance at university recruiting events
- Earned Masters degree, by June 1, 2026. Applicants with an earned masters degree will be appointed as a lecturer.
- Current certification and registration in radiography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Three (3) years clinical experience in the professional discipline of radiography
- Two (2) years experience as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited program
- Proficiency in curriculum design and evaluation, instruction/teaching
- Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.
- Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.
- For an appointment as a non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor, the applicant must have an earned doctoral degree.
- Minimum of 5 years full-time college/university teaching experience at the assistant professor level is required for the rank of non-tenure track Clinical Associate Professor along with a strong record of research and service with publications and presentations in professional venues.
- Minimum of 5 years full-time college/university teaching experience at the associate professor level is required for the rank of non-tenure track Clinical Professor along with a strong record of research and service with substantial publications and presentations in professional venues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional ARRT registration in CT, MRI, and/or Mammography
