Job SummaryThe Events & Engagement Assistant provides support for events, rentals, and community engagement activities. This role is designed for a detail‑oriented, people‑focused individual who enjoys working in a welcoming public‑facing environment and contributing to meaningful experiences for guests, partners, and the community. The position offers a flexible schedule and a supportive team environment.
Temporary retiree employees are employed according to departmental need and the length of time will vary by workload and may not exceed 1300 hours worked in a 12‑consecutive month period.
Responsibilities- Assists with coordination and on‑site support for events, programs, and facility rentals
- Serves as a friendly point of contact for event clients, vendors, and guests
- Supports event logistics including setup coordination, timelines, and guest flow
- Assists with communications related to events and engagement activities
- Maintains basic records, schedules, and event documentation
- Provides general administrative and customer service support as needed
- 19 hours per week
- Flexible with schedule of availability
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience
- Previous experience in events, hospitality, customer service, administration, or a related field
Preferred Experience
- Events and Rental Management
$26,719
This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
