Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol Driver in STATEN ISLAND, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance. This is a driving post, so you will use your valid driver's license to support patrol coverage and site checks.

What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate site representatives and/or public emergency services as directed.

* Conduct regular and random foot patrols of government buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.

* Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when assigned, and report unauthorized entry attempts and/or suspicious behavior according to post orders.

* Complete shift logs and incident reports, document observations from patrols, and communicate security-related information to supervisors and/or oncoming officers.

Minimum Requirements:

* A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.

* Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.

* Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.

* Be at least 21 years of age.

* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
