Position: Physician Assistant / Emergency Medicine / New York / Locum Tenens / Physician Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with experience in various medical settings including acute care, emergency medicine, and outpatient services. This role requires a compassionate approach to patient management and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations and develop treatment plans.
  • Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions.
  • Utilizes EMR system, eClinical

    Works for accurate patient documentation and data management.
  • Provide triage services in urgent care settings.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations while managing medical records.

Requirements

  • Flexible scheduling, alternating weekends.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant with relevant state licensure.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and documentation standards.
  • Experience in various specialties such as pediatrics, geriatrics, internal medicine, occupational health, or infectious disease care is preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills including suturing, phlebotomy, catheterization, and basic life support.
  • Familiarity with telehealth practices and technology is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and teamwork within a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments while maintaining quality patient care standards. Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate their clinical knowledge and experience during the interview process.
