Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis. This role is part-time and requires proficiency in managing financial records and ensuring accuracy in all transactions. The position is based in Staten Island, New York, and offers an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic organization.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain and update financial records with precision and accuracy.

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner.

- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure all accounts are balanced.

- Utilize Quick Books for tracking and reporting financial data.

- Prepare financial reports and summaries as required.

- Monitor and manage client accounts, ensuring compliance with established procedures.

- Assist with resolving discrepancies in financial records or transactions.

- Collaborate with team members to support overall financial operations.

- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies. Requirements - Proven experience in bookkeeping, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

- Proficiency in Quick Books and other accounting software.

- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Ability to perform bank reconciliations effectively and efficiently.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Strong problem-solving abilities to address discrepancies or errors.

- Ability to work independently and manage part-time responsibilities.

- Familiarity with accounting principles and relevant regulations.
