Dining Associate: Part-Time

Dining Associate – Part‑Time position (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday, 4PM-7:30PM)

Foxdale Village is a life plan community guided by Quaker values; a non‑profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located in State College, PA. Founded in 1985, Foxdale offers 57 apartments, 148 cottages, and 46 beds in skilled nursing, two memory care neighborhoods, and 55 beds in personal care. • Provide a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service.
• Assist residents in the health care setting by serving and delivering meals or other requested menu items.
• Register sales on the Point‑of‑Sale System (POS) by scanning items, itemizing, and totaling customers’ purchases, and charging customers (residents, staff, visitors, and family members) according to department policies.
• Portion food in quantities specified by nutritional standards set by the Registered Dietitian and management.
• Serve special meals and catered events as needed.
• Assist the cooks and line/prep‑cooks as needed and assigned by the team leader and/or management.
• Operate dish machines and all other equipment within the department as required and assigned by the team leader and/or management.
• Set up and break down dining venues for service.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations according to department policies.
• Sort flatware and glasses as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Serve Safe certification is a plus.
• Relevant work experience in dining service or food service is preferred.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English with residents and other team members.
• Able to work holidays and weekends as part of a schedule rotation.
• Reliable and dependable attendance at work.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced work environment.
