- Ability to work 8-hour shifts rotating between:
- 0630–1500
- 0900–1730
- 1100–1930
- 40 hours per week
- Weekend coverage and call are voluntary
- Willingness to rotate shifts as staffing requires
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program (required)
- BSN preferred, but not mandatory
- Active RN license in Pennsylvania
- BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider) – current
- ACLS (AHA Healthcare Provider) – current
- xperience
- Minimum 2 years Operating Room experience required
- Circulating and/or scrub experience
- Clinical Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of perioperative nursing and AORN standards
- Ability to:
- Maintain sterile field
- Prepare and manage equipment and supplies
- Recognize and respond to physiological changes during surgery
- Safely manage specimens, cultures, and foreign bodies
- Comfortable caring for pediatric through geriatric patients
- Accepts responsibility for:
- Maintaining competency
- Staying current with new technology, trends, and ethics
- Willingness to follow Mount Nittany policies and procedures
