DutiesAnd Responsibilities
- CAD & BIM Drafting:
Create, edit, and manipulate 2D and 3D CAD files for construction layout, site preparation, and coordination. - Surface Model Preparation:
Develop and refine surface models for GPS‑guided equipment. - Data Conversion & Integration:
Convert design files (DWG, DXF, LandXML, PDF, RVT, etc.) for field equipment compatibility. - Field Support:
Work with field crews to troubleshoot and optimize digital layouts using robotic total stations and GPS systems. - Quality Control:
Validate model accuracy against contract drawings, survey data, and project specifications. - Coordination:
Integrate BIM/CAD models with construction schedules, clash detection, and site logistics. - Technology Optimization:
Stay updated on new BIM/CAD technologies to enhance workflow and accuracy.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or similar CAD/BIM software.
- Experience with construction layout technology (Topcon, Trimble, or Leica).
- Familiarity with coordinate systems and digital terrain models.
- Ability to troubleshoot and support field personnel with digital layouts.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Interest in growing with BIM and construction technology.
- Detail‑oriented and highly organized.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
