Quality Assurance Engineer You Will Be Accountable For- Design, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
- Design of methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, production equipment and finished products.
- Performing analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary.
- Reviewing documents/drawings/instructions for conformance to requirements.
- Comparing defects against standards and recommending dispositions and verifying implementation of rework.
- Collects, organizes, and analyzes project data, generates and/or reviews metrics.
- Performs audits, assigns corrective action, and verifies implementation.
- Participates in project reviews and meetings including technical design reviews, technical peer reviews.
- Verifies compliance to defined requirements.
- Witnesses and/or monitors test activities.
- Interfaces with various engineering disciplines, manufacturing, program management, and other quality personnel.
- Supports the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system and customer requirements.
- Liaises with IT manager for cross-platform support, as needed.
- Performs final product & incoming inspection as needed.
- Maintains calibration database and facilitates on-site vendor calibration team on a quarterly basis.
- Conducts regular ISO audits of the QMS system.
- Interfacing with customers and suppliers.
- May be required to visit suppliers on an as needed basis.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering.
- 5+ years’ experience – preferably in electronics manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of engineering (i.e., software electrical, systems, etc.) methodologies, tools, and standards.
- Solid knowledge of use of relevant inspection/measurement tools and techniques.
- Solid understanding of ISO and other quality standards/certifications, design verification, process validation, product design control, CAPA, FMEA and Kaizen methodologies.
- Ability to clearly recognize and report information relevant to sound quality engineering design.
- Ability to review documents, drawings, instruction for conformance to required techniques.
- Ability to report quality activities, findings, and issues (both verbally and in writing).
- Proficient in MS office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative thinker.
