The Goddard School of State College is seeking candidates for a full-time Teacher in our Infant program.
Candidates will help create a caring, nurturing, and safe environment for the children and assist in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education.
Job Responsibilities- Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment.
- Plan learning activities within established classroom centers.
- Implement prepared lessons and activities in small and large group settings throughout the program day.
- Assist children with managing all parts of the program day including transitions between activities, meals, toileting/diapering & washing hands, structured activities, etc.
- Establish positive and effective family relations through interactive parent communication.
- Ensure compliance with Goddard’s Industry-leading Quality Assurance standards.
- Shows empathy and compassion for young children.
- Is dependable, adaptable, and enjoys working together toward a common goal.
- Experience working with children in a childcare, daycare, volunteer, or babysitting setting for Assistant Teachers.
- A degree or certificate (CDA) in early childhood, elementary education, related human services field, or early childhood coursework is preferred for Lead Teachers.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. when handling children for program facilitation, child safety, and potential emergencies; for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to lift infants into and out of a crib.
- All candidates must have a desire to work with children and families, be committed to professional development, and be a team player.
