Position: AIRCRAFT LINEMAN (FBO) - PT

The Aircraft Lineman is a customer service position, that’s responsible for supporting all ground operations for inbound and outbound aircraft, flight crews, and passengers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Fuels aircraft, in accordance to the specifications and fuel quality control standards.
  • Maintains fuel quantity records.
  • Ensures aircraft are chocked, locked, and secure.
  • Sumps, drives, and operates fuel trucks, refills fuel trucks, operates the fuel farm, sumps fuel farm tanks, and records results on the daily records.
  • Monitors the Unicom frequency an d answer requests.
  • Records sales and write customer invoices.
  • Receives payment for purchases.
  • Assists pilots with aircraft pre and post flight services.
  • Moves aircraft with the aircraft tug.
  • Helps with the monthly and quarterly fuel inspections.
  • Monitors arriving and departing aircraft.
  • Monitors security gates and makes sure they close.
  • Helps with the monthly and quarterly fuel inspections.
  • Monitors and informs the supervisor, of any supplies needed.
  • Reports any fueling issues to supervisor.
  • Provides cleaning and care for the courtesy car.
  • Works with rental car agencies delivering and picking up rental cars.
  • Provides customer service for pilots, passengers, and crew.
  • Works with catering requests.
ABILITY TO

  • Operate assigned equipment and tools in a safe and effective manner.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Experience: Prior knowledge in Aviation or related field.

License: Must possess a valid driver’s license.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Environment: All types of weather and temperature conditions. Work and/or walk for long periods of time on various types of surfaces including slippery or uneven surfaces and rough terrain. Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25/50 pounds, travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation, and verbally communicate to exchange information.

Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability to operate assigned equipment. FREQUENT bending, stooping, squatting, and climbing; standing, sitting, reaching at and above shoulder height, kneeling, balancing above ground, pushing and pulling, crawling, twisting at waist, upward and downward flexion of neck, side‑to‑side turning of neck; lifting of objects weighing up to 75 lbs.

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer screens, printed documents, equipment dials and gauges, color vision acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
