Provides high-level administrative support to the football coaching staff as assigned in support of the offensive initiatives of the football program at Mississippi State University as well as assist in maintaining relationships with high school coaches around the state.
Responsibilities- Scout football team’s in-season games.
- Breakdowns game film and provides full statistical analysis of offense.
- Scout football team’s practices in fall, spring and in-season.
- Provides statistical analysis of offense.
- Consistently maintain communication with head school coaches from around the State of Mississippi, serving as a liaison for the Mississippi State Coaching Staff in helping to identify high school prospects.
- Host high school and junior college coaches throughout Spring and Summer at practices and other functions.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Head Football Coach, Offense Coordinator, and Associate Athletic Director for Football.
Bachelor's degree in related field with five (5) years of experience in related field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Ability to function independently solving problems and making decisions.
- Ability to prioritize and schedule work for efficient operations.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel extensively.
- No unusual physical requirements. Requires occasional or light lifting, nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility.
- Frequent externally imposed deadlines; set and revised beyond one's control; interruptions influence priorities; difficult to anticipate nature or volume of work with certainty beyond a few days; meeting of deadlines and coordination of unrelated activities are key to position; involves conflict-resolution or similar interactions involving emotional issues or stress on a regular basis.
- Job occasionally requires walking, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands.
- Job occasionally requires standing, stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
