Position FunctionAssistant with Special Event setups on and off campus.
Responsibilities- Performs the build/setup and removal of temporary structures, including setup and breakdown of various size tents for campus activities.
- Loads, transports, and unloads materials and equipment for campus events.
- Provides setup and arrangement for equipment/materials per event specifications.
- Monitors storerooms and ensures order, cleanliness, and security.
- Works across departments for collaborative and seamless process for event preparations.
- Works with pertinent personnel for equipment orders and ensure proper storage.
- Performs related duties as assigned to maintain department efficiency.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Drivers License
- 1 yr exp
- Interpersonal and communication skills required.
- Ability to read and write.
- Understands instructions and executes efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Works effectively with a wide range of constituencies; and perform variety of tasks.
- Ability to exercise discretion with customers and the public, including reasonable standards for personal appearance.
- Ability to work in a team and adhere to work rules that foster respect in the workplace.

Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job. No or very limited exposure to physical risk. Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
