Financial Accountant

Robert Half are excited to be supporting a well-established and growing highly regulated group based in Cheltenham with the appointment of an experienced Financial Accountant to join them on an initial 6-month project. This role has been created to support the business during an exciting period while they recruit this position on a permanent basis. It offers an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant to step into a high-impact role, working closely with the Financial Controller and senior finance stakeholders across the group.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintaining and strengthening robust financial controls across the group Supporting month-end close, including production of the consolidated balance sheet Preparing statutory accounts for all group entities and the consolidated group (FRS 102) Acting as the main point of contact for external auditors and managing the audit process end-to-end Providing technical accounting guidance and preparing accounting position papers Leading on acquisition accounting and supporting the group's growth agenda Overseeing accounting for overseas entities and liaising with external accountants Supporting tax compliance and acting as key contact for tax advisors Assisting with covenant reporting, cashflow statements and liquidity forecasting Delivering ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required by the Financial Controller and CFO About You ACA or ACCA qualified Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly FRS 102 Confident engaging with auditors and senior finance stakeholders Highly organised with excellent attention to detail Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment For more information, or to apply please contact Steph Manley @ Robert Half on or apply directly to this advert.
