Financial Controller

An established and well-regarded Milton Keynes based organisation is seeking a Financial Controller to join their Finance team. The environment is professional, fast-paced and performance focused, and would suit someone who enjoys ownership, accountability and working with clarity of expectation.

Role Overview Reporting into senior finance leadership, the Financial Controller will have end-to-end responsibility for financial reporting, controls and commercial support. The role combines strong technical delivery with business partnering, supporting operational leaders with insight, challenge and decision-making support. The successful candidate will be comfortable working autonomously, managing competing priorities, and operating within a structured environment.

Key Responsibilities Full ownership of the month-end close process, including management accounts and balance sheet integrity Preparation and review of financial reporting Budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management and detailed variance analysis Providing clear financial insight and commentary to support operational and commercial decision-making Business partnering with non-finance stakeholders across the organisation Supporting continuous improvement of finance processes, controls and reporting Liaising with internal and external stakeholders as required About You Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) Strong background in financial control, reporting and commercial finance Confident communicator, able to engage credibly with senior stakeholders Resilient, pragmatic and comfortable working at pace A self-starter who takes ownership and delivers If you are interested in this opportunity, please reach out to Ben Smith at Butler Rose - Butler Rose is committed to equality in the workplace and is an equal opportunity employer.
