Management Accountant

We are working with a well-established business in Stoke-on-Trent that is looking to appoint a Management Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role would suit a part-qualified accountant or someone who is qualified by experience and comfortable working in a hands-on finance environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting the month-end close process.

You will work closely with budget holders to provide clear and accurate financial information and help explain performance against budget. The role will also involve balance sheet reconciliations and supporting the wider finance team with reporting and analysis. This position sits in a fast-paced environment and would suit someone who enjoys ownership of their work and is confident working to deadlines.

You will be expected to work with finance systems and spreadsheets on a daily basis and adapt quickly to the needs of the business. What is required? You will be part qualified or qualified by experience within management accounting. You will have experience preparing monthly management accounts in a commercial environment. You will be confident working to deadlines and managing your own workload.

You will be comfortable using finance systems and Excel on a regular basis. What will you receive? A 12-month fixed-term contract within a stable and well-established business. A salary of £40,000 to £45,000 depending on experience. Exposure to a broad and hands-on management accounting role. The opportunity to work in a supportive finance team with clear responsibilities.
