Circa £90,000 benefits GPN are delighted to be partnering with a well-established, medium-sized accountancy firm based in Central London with a strong reputation in the SME and owner-managed business market. The Role:
This is a senior audit position with both technical responsibility and commercial influence . The successful candidate will hold RI status and take ownership of a varied audit portfolio while contributing to audit quality, team development, and client relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
Acting as Audit Responsible Individual across a portfolio of statutory audit clients Signing audit reports and ensuring full compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS and ISAs Leading audit planning through to completion, including risk assessment and final review Acting as the main point of contact for key audit clients, including directors and shareholders Supporting and mentoring Audit Managers and Seniors, raising technical and commercial capability Reviewing statutory accounts and liaising with relevant teams Contributing to audit quality reviews, methodology, and internal best practice Working closely with partners on client retention, onboarding and growth opportunities Client Portfolio:
Predominantly UK-based companies Turnovers typically ranging from £10M to £100M Broad sector exposure including commercial, professional services, property and trading entities About You/
Qualifications & Skills:
ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) Registered Audit Individual (RI) status is essential (or very close to becoming RI) Strong technical grounding in UK audit and financial reporting Experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment Confident communicator with the ability to advise clients at board level Commercially aware, collaborative, and comfortable operating at senior level What You'll Get:
