Assistant Accountant

I am delighted to be partnering with a consultancy business based in London City (Hybrid) are on their search for an Assistant Accountant. This is a newly created role due to recently acquiring new funding and supporting strategic growth plans. This role will work alongside the Financial Controller and support the wider finance team. Lead the end-to-end management of supplier rebates, ensuring accurate recording, reconciliation, and allocation Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including detailed general ledger analysis Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders on financial queries and reporting matters Review and analyse expense invoices for accuracy, compliance, and policy adherence Assist with year-end audit preparation and statutory reporting requirements Drive continuous improvements in financial processes, controls, and reporting tools This is an exciting opportunity to step into a role where you will have exposure to Management Accounts and can progress your career with a growing company while continuing your professional studies.

The ideal candidate will be detail-orientated and proactive with 1-2 years' experience in an accounting role. Previous experience within a similar role within an SME consultancy business is highly advantageous.
