Job Description:
The Quality Engineer will play a critical role in safeguarding product quality and customer confidence within a batch manufacturing environment. Acting as the primary quality interface between operations and customers, the Quality Engineer will ensure all products meet customer-specific, statutory, and internal quality requirements.
Key responsibilities include ownership of PPAP and APQP documentation, supporting OEM audits, leading structured problem-solving activities, and driving permanent corrective actions. The role also requires a strong shop-floor presence, supporting production teams with real-time quality decisions and ensuring non-conforming product is effectively controlled.
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in a Quality Engineer role within machining and/or fabrication
* Strong working knowledge of PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and FAIR/FAI
* Experience supporting OEM customers in a batch or mixed-model environment
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T
* Audit-trained with a strong understanding of ISO 9001
* Confident communicator with strong problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
