Shift Electrician — Tarmac

We are currently looking for a Shift Electrician to join our team in Linford, Stanford-le-Hope.

Shift patterns: Days – 6am to 6pm, Nights – 6pm to 6am.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a team, carrying out day-to-day maintenance activities including planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery in the manufacture of Aircrete blocks or similar products.
  • Meet statutory and SHE standards as a minimum.
  • Work across various plant areas throughout the block manufacturing site on planned or reactive basis.
  • Record all work on the site CMMS system.
  • Demonstrate initiative and good communication skills in a largely self‑supervised role.
Ideal Candidate
  • Manufacturing background beneficial.
  • Completed a recognised apprenticeship in electrical engineering.
  • Experience maintaining/replacing automation control systems (motors, inverter drives, contractors, etc.).
  • Successfully completed 17th edition BS7671 wiring regulations.
  • PLC programming qualifications (Siemens S5 and S7) – desirable but not essential.
  • Fault‑finding skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
