The OpportunityAs a Yoga Instructor at Chelsea Piers Fitness you’ll guide members through intentional classes that build strength, balance, and calm. Our state‑of‑the‑art studios and supportive community give you the opportunity to share your practice, inspire consistency, and help members connect body, mind, and breath.
SchedulePart‑time. Must have flexibility to work a non‑traditional schedule including weekend, holiday, and early morning/midday/late evening weekday availability.
Compensation$50 – $75 per hour, depending on experience.
Primary Responsibilities- Lead inspiring, safe, and inclusive yoga classes that align with Chelsea Piers Fitness standards and community culture.
- Provide intelligent sequencing and mindful cueing for all levels, including modifications and advancements.
- Create a welcoming and grounded environment focused on physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
- Encourage consistent practice and member retention through authentic connection and personal engagement.
- Support promotional efforts by participating in community events and maintaining an active social media presence.
- 200‑hour Yoga Alliance Certification required (500‑hour preferred).
- At least 2 years of teaching yoga classes preferred.
- CPR & AED Certification.
- Knowledge of anatomy, alignment, and mindfulness‑based practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliable with ability to attend all scheduled hours.
- Must be able to lift 30 to 45 pounds or appropriate weight to lead class.
