Engineer, Data Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Stamford, CT (Remote). Candidate must have strong expertise in designing and optimizing Snowflake-based data architectures with the ability to build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.

$56/hour to $79/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Designing and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake, SQL, Python, and cloud services.

• Building optimized data models across staging, warehouse, and datamart layers using best‑practice performance techniques.

• Developing automated data ingestion workflows for structured and semi‑structured sources such as JSON, Parquet, XML, and APIs.

• Implementing business requirements using Snowflake features including Streams, Tasks, Time Travel, Zero Copy Cloning, and Snowpipe.

• Monitoring and troubleshooting pipelines to ensure data quality, system stability, and timely data availability.

• Collaborating with architects, analysts, and business teams to translate functional needs into scalable data solutions.

• bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, data engineering, or a related technical field.

• 6–8 years of experience in data warehousing, ETL/ELT development, and cloud‑based data engineering.

• Candidate must have strong hands‑on expertise in Snowflake, SQL/PLSQL, data modelling, and pipeline development using modern cloud tools.

• Candidate must have the capability to design automated ingestion workflows, manage orchestration tools, and collaborate with teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
