React Engineer

Location: Stamford, CT and Rye, NY

Duration: Contract

• Design and develop responsive, user-friendly web applications using React.js
• Translate UI/UX designs, wireframes, and prototypes into high-quality, reusable code
• Collaborate with UX designers, product owners, and backend teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and accessibility
• Maintain and improve existing UI components and design systems
• Implement best practices for state management, component architecture, and testing
• Ensure applications meet security, compliance, and regulatory standards typical of financial services
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and design critiques
• Clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• 5+ years of professional front-end development experience
• Strong expertise in React.js, including hooks, functional components, and modern patterns
• Proven experience building UI-intensive applications with strong attention to UX details
• Experience with state management (Redux, Zustand, Context API, etc.)
• Familiarity with UI component libraries and/or building custom design systems
• Experience working in financial services, banking, or hedge fund environments (mandatory)
• Experience with REST APIs and integrating front-end applications with backend services
• Familiarity with Agile / Scrum development methodologies
