Stamford Health is seeking an LPN for our Pediatrics practice in Darien. The Licensed Practical Nurse coordinates patient care following all established standards of practice within State and Federal guidelines.
Schedule: 40 hours a week, Monday‑Friday 7:00am‑3:30pm, and 1 Saturday a month 7:30am‑11:30am. Half day off during the week when you work a Saturday.

- Reviews schedules and organizes patient flow; greets patients, documents concerns and questions, and accompanies them to exam/procedure rooms.
- Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs, weight; reports any abnormalities to physician. Assists with specimen collection and testing as needed.
- Assists patients with walking, transferring, dressing, etc.
- Provides minor treatment as directed by physician and assists with minor procedures.
- Provides education as indicated after evaluating the learning needs of the patient and/or family.
- Schedules patient testing and pre‑certifies insurance if required.
- Responds to telephone messages from patients and physician offices.
- End‑of‑month checks for expired supplies and medication.
- Stocks and maintains inventory in exam/procedure rooms.
- Orders supplies as needed.
- Ensures exam/procedure rooms and equipment are cleaned after each patient.
- Prepares exam/procedure rooms for next patient and physician needs.
- Notifies patients of test results (per physician instruction) and follow‑up.
- Attends scheduled staff meetings, in‑service education opportunities, and continuing education programs.
- Formulates and maintains effective working relationships with employees and other managers of the health care team.
- Respects and protects patient confidentiality and privacy, disclosing information only for professional purposes in the patient’s best interests and with full legal consideration.
- Displays a positive attitude when interacting with physician office staff, physicians, and fellow employees.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Valid license as Licensed Practical Nurse in CT.
- BLS Certification.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar position preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
