WWE is seeking a skilled and proactive Associate Counsel to join our Business & Legal Affairs team and report into the WWE VP, Business & Legal Affairs. The ideal candidate will have approximately 3+ years of legal experience, focused on drafting and negotiating corporate agreements. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of law, business strategy, and entertainment.
The Role andWhat You’ll Do:
- Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of complex commercial contracts for WWE and other TKO businesses, including contracts relating to sponsor ships, venue licenses, live event operations and logistics, digital and social media, licenses, marketing, consulting, services, talent, vendors, contractors, NDAs, and releases and waivers.
- Provide real-time analysis and advice on business and legal issues, including questions of contract interpretation and enforcement, to internal business units and company leadership and executives.
- Research, manage, and track existing contractual obligations.
- Coordinate with business, finance, and compliance departments to assist with deal development.
- Implement and refine contract templates and corporate policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective contract administration and document-management processes.
- Work closely and collaboratively with other members of the WWE Business & Legal Affairs team, as well as our TKO Legal and international colleagues.
- Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to at least one U.S. state bar, with the ability to register as Connecticut authorized in-house counsel.
- 3+ years of relevant corporate legal and transactional experience, ideally with a mix of law firm and in-house roles.
- Outstanding written and oral business communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Strong drafting and negotiating skills.
- Experience with commercial transactions.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment; flexibility and effective time management skills to balance multiple priorities.
