Data Engineer
Akkodis is seeking a Snowflake Developer for a Contract with a client in Stamford, CT (Remote). This role focuses on designing and developing scalable data solutions within Snowflake and cloud-based data platforms.
Rate Range: $53/hour to $62/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize Snowflake-based data pipelines, including data modeling, warehousing structures, and scalable ELT/ETL workflows.
- Analyze raw data from multiple sources and develop high‑ and low‑level ETL design documents, ensuring proper data organization, integration, and transformation.
- Develop and maintain complex SQL, Python scripts, and stored procedures to support data ingestion, processing, and orchestration.
- Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements, conduct data analysis, define mapping logic, and prepare technical specifications for Snowflake solutions.
- Implement and enforce enterprise data standards, best practices, and performance tuning across cloud data platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Provide UAT and production support, managing change management processes (Service Now) and tracking progress using Agile tools such as JIRA.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8–10 years of IT experience with deep hands‑on work in data engineering, cloud data platforms, and Snowflake development.
- Strong proficiency in Snowflake (data warehousing, performance tuning, Snowflake SQL, data modeling) and experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Hands‑on experience with SQL/Python scripting and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), including the ability to analyze raw data, prepare design documents, and support UAT/production processes.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $62.00 per hour
