IT Audit Manager

Overview

A leading, high-growth organization in the entertainment and consumer-facing media space is seeking an IT Audit Manager to join its Internal Audit function. This role will lead the IT SOX compliance and internal audit workstream, partnering closely with senior technology and compliance stakeholders to ensure strong governance, risk management, and control execution across the business.

• IT Audit & SOX Leadership – Oversee the organization s IT SOX 404 compliance program, including testing and documentation of IT General Controls (ITGCs).
• IT Audit & SOX Leadership – Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of key technology controls.
• IT Audit & SOX Leadership – Identify control gaps, raise deficiencies, and support remediation planning through completion.
• IT Audit & SOX Leadership – Maintain a strong audit mindset and apply appropriate professional skepticism when reviewing evidence.

• Audit Planning & Execution – Lead end-to-end execution of IT-related audits, including financial, operational, and compliance-focused reviews.
• Audit Planning & Execution – Develop audit planning materials such as project plans, scope documents, and audit memos.
• Audit Planning & Execution – Manage multiple concurrent audits and ensure timely delivery against deadlines.
• Audit Planning & Execution – Draft audit results, key findings, and actionable recommendations for leadership review.

• Stakeholder Partnership – Build trusted relationships with IT leadership, compliance teams, and cross-functional control owners.
• Stakeholder Partnership – Facilitate productive discussions around control expectations, exceptions, and corrective actions.
• Stakeholder Partnership – Drive efficiency and continuous improvement in audit processes and requirements.

• Team Leadership – Provide coaching and mentorship to a small audit staff (1-2 direct reports).
• Team Leadership – Support the development of a high-performing, collaborative internal audit culture.

• Tools & Technology – Utilize audit management platforms such as Audit Board or similar tools.
• Tools & Technology – Apply strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office for reporting and analytics.

Must Have

• 6+ years of experience in IT Audit and SOX 404 compliance
• Strong background in IT risk, control testing, and ITGC documentation
• Proven success delivering complex audits under tight timelines
• Experience managing audit projects, stakeholders, and audit plans
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• 2+ years of experience leading or managing team members
• Bachelor s degree in Accounting, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred

• Exposure to media, entertainment, or similarly fast-moving industries
• Familiarity with systems such as JDE, OnBase, or comparable enterprise platforms
• CPA, CIA, CISA (or actively pursuing certification)

• Occasional domestic travel expected (approximately 10%)
• Some work outside standard hours may be required during peak audit cycles
