Information Security Lead AI & Data Security

Overview

Insight Global is looking for an Information Security Lead to join a large Reinsurance client. This lead will join the Security and Infrastructure team and will work closely with the Data and AI team. This role will oversee AI and data security, including working with Varonis and implementing Microsoft Purview. The lead will own the enforcement of data protection based on Purview labeling, develop policies to implement data protections for Purview, and assess whether Purview can replace Varonis in the future (not immediately).

The role will craft, design, and implement the technical policies and may involve scripting, playbooks, and possibly agentic workflows, for which programming experience is valued. The ideal candidate will be experienced enough to lead the implementation, delegate to a 3rd party, and continue to oversee/own the project. Pay is around 75/hr.

• Lead the implementation and ongoing oversight of AI and data security programs.
• Define and enforce data protection policies based on Purview labeling.
• Develop and implement data protection controls for Purview; evaluate the potential replacement of Varonis with Purview in the future.
• Design, craft, and implement technical policies; may include scripting, playbooks, and agentic workflows.
• Collaborate with the Data and AI team and coordinate with third parties as needed, while maintaining ownership of the initiative.

• 10+ years of experience as an Information Security Lead focused on AI and Data Security.
• Strong background in programming/scripting (Python, Power Shell, C#, etc.).
• 2+ years of recent experience with Microsoft Purview and some experience implementing it.
• Experience with ADCS, Azure Information Protection, and Varonis.
• Experience securing Azure Cloud infrastructures and services.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Data Security technologies (e.g., DLP, PKI/CA, PGP, database encryption, key management, data classification and enterprise file encryption, email encryption, data lake protections, secure data transfer).
