DXT Commodities is seeking a motivated and proactive Application Support Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be the technical point of reference for our ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) platform, working at the heart of our operations.

You will bridge the gap between the Commodity Trading Desk and the Global IT team, ensuring the stability, efficiency, and evolution of our core trading systems.

Key Responsibilities
:

• ETRM Support & Maintenance: Provide high-level technical support for the existing ETRM system, ensuring daily business continuity for Front and Back Office.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Analyze and resolve complex technical issues, performing root cause analysis using SQL and Python.
• Trading Support: Collaborate directly with traders and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
• Data & Analytics: Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and Business Intelligence (BI) tools for both Front and Back Office operations
• Database Management: Write, optimize, and maintain complex Oracle PL/SQL scripts to ensure high performance and data integrity
• Infrastructure Coordination: Liaise with external providers to coordinate IT processes, system setups, and hardware configurations

Requirements (Must Have)

• Education:
  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience.
• Python:
  Solid experience developing with commonly used libraries (e.g., Pandas, Num Py).
• Database:
  Advanced skills in SQL, with a focus on performance tuning and complex script development.
• Business Intelligence:
  Experience in designing and developing BI applications to support trading decisions and operational reporting.
• Analytical Mindset:
  Strong ability to troubleshoot software bugs and understand complex data relationships within a database management system.
• Proactivity: A self-starter attitude with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced trading environment

Nice to Have

• ETRM Knowledge: Prior experience with ETRM
• Cloud Infrastructure: Experience with AWS (server configuration and services).
• Soft Skills:
  Strong communication skills and the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and non-technical business stakeholders.
