Title: Senior Backend Web Developer (AEM)

Contract Type: Contract (Long and Short-Term options available)

Pay Rate: $70-$80 hourly (experience ranges based on years of experience)

Brooksource is partnering with a Fortune 100 telecommunications client to support a large-scale web platform and site consolidation initiative. This role sits within a cross-functional web team consisting of backend and frontend developers, QA testers, analytics partners, and Product Managers. The team supports enterprise websites with complex, logic-driven experiences and is actively working through backend modernization, platform consolidation, and future-state cloud migration efforts.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend web applications following the company’s software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Support large, backend-heavy initiatives including merging multiple web platforms and codebases
• Implement business logic tied to marketing campaigns and dynamic content delivery
• Translate functional requirements into technical designs and solutions
• Assist in preparing technical design specifications based on functional and analysis documents
• Review functional requirements, analysis, and design documentation and provide technical feedback
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA, Product Managers, and Architects to ensure quality and consistency
• Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and code reviews
• Develop and maintain operational and system-level documentation
• Support deployments and occasional high-priority production issues (“code red” situations)

• 10+ years of web development experience
• Strong experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
• Hands-on experience with:
• Bitbucket
• HTML
• CSS
• Node.js
• Webpack
• Experience working in enterprise-scale web environments
• Ability to ramp quickly and work independently with minimal training
