Postgres SQL and MySQL DBADatabase Management / Optimization

• Design and implement database schemas, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance.
• Optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for application efficiency.
• Perform proactive and reactive performance tuning, including query analysis, indexing strategies, and parameter group configuration.
• Manage database capacity planning and storage scaling.
• Implement and manage data archiving and retention policies.

• Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions within Postgre
  
  SQL and MySQL RDS instances and other databases.
• Implement and enforce security best practices, including encryption in transit and at rest.
• Monitor and audit database access and activity for security compliance.

• Configure and manage multi-AZ deployments for high availability.
• Implement and test backup and recovery strategies using RDS automated backups and manual snapshots.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for database instances.

• Utilize AWS monitoring tools (Cloud Watch, Performance Insights, Enhanced Monitoring) to analyze database performance and identify bottlenecks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including performance degradation, connectivity problems, and data corruption.
• Set up and manage alerts for critical database events.
