Job Description
  • Ensures and promotes high quality customer service at all times while demonstrating professional work behavior and following organizational service standards and success factors.
  • Schedules all types of radiology procedures; ensures accuracy and capture of all required information.
  • Requests and verifies all required information and ensures accurate entry into system.
  • Communicates appropriate preparatory information associated with procedure to patient and physician’s office.
  • Actively participates in departmental improvement efforts and assigned tasks (e.g., routine audits) as necessary.
  • Knowledgeable of all department processes and workflows (e.g., script management, voice mail, etc.).
  • Maintains proficiency with scheduling applications (Meditech) and other IT programs (e.g., HPF, EMR, ITS, etc.).
  • Attends scheduled staff meetings, in-service education as required.

Qualifications/requirements

Minimum of H.S. Diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred. Prior Radiology examination scheduling experience strongly preferred. Three years of job related experience preferred. Strong medical terminology, knowledge of window based applications, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent communication and spelling skills. Ability to effectively address multiple phone lines simultaneously. Strong organizational and communication skills, both oral and written required.

Ability to maintain a professional presence in a very busy environment.
