Job Summary
The Egg Donor Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the entire egg donation process, from initial consultation to post-procedure follow-up. This role involves managing donor databases, coordinating donor and recipient cycles, communicating with all parties involved, and ensuring compliance with relevant legal and ethical guidelines.
DutiesDonor Recruitment and Screening
- Identify and recruit potential egg donors through various channels.
Donor Database Management
- Maintain organized, up-to-date donor profiles and medical histories.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
- Regularly update donor availability status.
Matching and Coordination
- Collaborate with intended parents to understand their requirements.
- Match suitable donors with intended parents based on compatibility and preferences.
- Coordinate cycles between donors and recipients, including medication protocols and appointments.
- Serve as primary point of contact for both donors and recipients.
Legal and Ethical Compliance
- Stay updated on relevant legal and ethical guidelines governing egg donation.
- Ensure completion of all necessary legal and consent documents.
- Coordinate with legal professionals as needed.
- Maintain strict confidentiality throughout the process.
Counseling and Support
- Provide emotional support to donors and intended parents.
- Educate donors and recipients on medical procedures, risks, and emotional considerations.
- Offer referrals to mental health professionals when necessary.
Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, including donor profiles, medical evaluations, and communication logs.
- Generate reports on donor availability, success rates, and other relevant statistics.
- Ensure compliance with documentation and record-keeping standards.
Other Duties
- Establish a compassionate environment by supporting patients and families.
- Work independently to achieve program goals.
- Promote excellence in customer service.
- Provide feedback on process improvement and job specifications.
- Participate in staff education and quality assurance activities.
- Screen potential donors to assess eligibility and suitability for egg donation.
- Conduct comprehensive medical, psychological, and genetic evaluations.
- Coordinate and schedule necessary assessments.
Experience
- Proven experience in project management within higher education or healthcare settings.
- Strong background in budgeting, grant proposal writing, and administrative oversight.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams or programs related to education or research initiatives.
- Experience working with students or young adults in an academic environment; familiarity with university administration is highly desirable.
- Excellent written communication skills for developing curricula, reports, and grant applications.
- Prior experience in recruiting participants for research or health programs is preferred.
- Knowledge of reproductive health topics combined with research experience enhances effectiveness in this role.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
