I am Partnered with an international energy trading company that is seeking an experienced PJM FTR Trader to join their team in Stamford Connecticut. The ideal candidate will help lead and develop the FTR strategy, mentor junior team members, and work collaboratively to expand the firm’s broader power trading platform.
Key Responsibilities- Trade PJM FTR auctions and secondary markets, identifying and executing profitable congestion strategies
- Utilize existing firm infrastructure, datasets, and modeling tools to enhance trading performance
- Work closely with internal analysts to refine modeling and market insights
- Supervise and mentor a senior analyst currently supporting the FTR desk
- Collaborate with other trading teams to identify cross-market opportunities within power and related products
- Contribute to the continued development and expansion of the firm’s power trading capabilities
- Strong experience trading PJM FTRs, ideally 3+ years of direct market experience
- Deep understanding of PJM congestion dynamics, transmission modeling, and auction structures
- Experience working with or developing power market analytics, modeling, or data systems
- Interest in mentoring junior talent and helping scale a team
- Collaborative mindset with a desire to build and grow a platform over the long term
- Ability to work in-office in Stamford, CT
