Position Overview:
Odyssey Group is seeking a motivated Risk Analyst to join our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team. This key role acts as a liaison with major rating agencies and supports critical risk analysis and reporting functions that help safeguard our financial strength and operational resilience.
As a Risk Analyst, you will play a central role in preparing presentations for rating agencies, running quarterly capital models, and responding to various data requests. Your work will contribute to the ongoing monitoring of our capital adequacy and enterprise-wide risk exposures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison with rating agencies, including:
- Preparing annual presentations
- Running quarterly capital models to assess Group capital adequacy
- Responding to inquiries, data requests, and surveys
- Collaborate with the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to review risk-related documentation for branch offices and operations
- Lead the preparation of the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) report for Odyssey Group
- Conduct quarterly ERM analysis, including:
- Rating agency capital model and scorecard results
- Retro recoverables exposure
- Contingent funding and letter of credit (LOC) exposure
- Regulatory and internal capital adequacy assessments by legal entity
- Stress testing of risk scenarios
- Oversee the management and renewal of corporate insurance programs
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field
- 5+ years' of experience
- Prior experience or strong knowledge of the Property & Casualty insurance industry
- Familiarity with rating agency methodologies and credit analysis preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel and risk modeling tools a plus
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
