Assistant Corporate Controller (Director of Accounting)

Are you ready to take the next step in your accounting career? This is an exciting opportunity to join a well‑established company and play a critical role in corporate accounting and financial reporting. The position offers growth potential into a Controller role and the chance to work closely with senior leadership. 5 days in‑office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly closings and prepare consolidated financial reports for multiple entities.
- Lead year‑end audits and collaborate with external accountants.
- Oversee fixed asset accounting and assist with corporate and partnership tax compliance.
- Prepare budgets, projections, and quarterly income estimates for shareholder distributions.
- Ensure timely filing of sales and property tax returns.
- Support leadership with board presentations and special projects.
- Implement and improve internal financial controls.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 7+ years of experience.
- CPA preferred (not required).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Yardi and Sage FAS is a bonus.
- Hands‑on, proactive team player with a strong work ethic.
