In this role, the IFMS Controller will lead end‑to‑end Integrated Finance Managed Services engagements, ensuring compliance, SOC‑1 Type 2 control adherence, and value delivery. Act as the primary client contact and internal EY leadership liaison, providing stewardship, governance oversight, and delivery integrity across all IFMS functions.

• Manage the general accounting function, oversee monthly and quarterly general ledger close processes, analyze trends, and work with the client on budget vs. actual variance analysis.
• Coordinate technical accounting needs with EY Technical Accounting Advisory Group.
• Lead the managed service team to support accurate quarterly and ad‑hoc SEC filings.
• Oversee finance‑related activities including general accounting, treasury, stock‑based compensation administration, payroll, and interactions with client’s transfer agents, banks, and investment managers.
• Coordinate EY’s payroll managed service and partner with client HR to manage employee benefits; support federal, state, and local tax reporting.
• Support audit activities with the client and external auditors, prepare audit committee and board materials.
• Oversee EY’s IF systems, including interfaces from payroll, equity, purchasing, banks, and expense management to the general ledger.
• Drive cross‑functional and service‑line support for special projects, system improvements, or ad‑hoc financial analyses.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with an active CPA license.
• 15+ years of accounting experience, including at least four years in a public company.
• 7+ years of Big‑4 audit experience preferred; biotech industry experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and experience in an SOX control environment.
• Experience in a clinical‑stage bioscience/pharmaceutical company.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Hands‑on mindset, ability to work cross‑functionally in a co‑located environment.
• Strong energy, enthusiasm, and goal‑driven.
• Working experience with SAP, Certent, Flo Qast, Active Disclosure, Concur, Ariba.
