As a Tax Senior Manager, you will be immersed in the evolving state and local tax environment, serving hedge fund, private equity, banking and real estate clients.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Analyzing an evolving portfolio of complex tax operations to provide meaningful business insights.
- Identifying potential opportunities and risks and communicating these to our clients.
- Researching current market trends to maintain credibility as a trusted advisor.
- Developing clear, intelligent plans and approaches to improve clients’ tax activities.
- Researching client business operations and building long‑lasting relationships to tailor advice to their needs.
- Supervising a motivated team of professionals, guaranteeing they have the skills, knowledge and opportunities to reach their full potential.
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
- CPA, licensed Attorney or EA.
- Minimum of 8 years professional knowledge in state and local income/franchise tax processes, concepts and tools.
- Experience managing budgets, people and projects.
- Proven record of excellence in a professional services or tax organization.
- Technical writing and research experience in a tax context.
- Ability to prioritize when working on multiple complex projects.
- Strong influencing skills and confidence to question existing processes.
- Proven record in a professional services environment or in‑house experience in a wealth and asset management company.
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, One Source Tax Compliance Software, Corptax, and/or Premium Pro.
- Experience coaching and mentoring junior colleagues.
- Ability to adapt your work style to work with both internal and client team members.
