On behalf of our home improvement client, Octagon is hiring 1-2 Event Managers in each host city to manage either the fan festival footprint or participating stadium footprint for the FIFA World Cup™ in 2026. Responsibilities include serving as the on‑site contact, footprint & asset management, event operations, and team leadership.

Contract Dates:

Contract Type: W‑2 Employment
RESPONSIBILITIES- Be the main on‑site point of contact for any outside vendor, host‑city personnel, or sanctioning‑body representative.
- Oversee, manage, and assist in executing all on‑site activities.
- Ensure that the on‑site staff meet all event execution expectations.
- Maintain and secure all on‑site activation equipment & assets.
- Set daily schedules and assignments as necessary.
- Serve as a direct liaison between the Regional Director and the on‑site staff.
- Verify all temporary staff hours.
- Diplomatically resolve any personnel issues within the on‑site team.
- Ensure fans and attendees have a positive and engaging experience while on‑site.
- Other related duties as reasonably assigned.
- Passion for and expertise in soccer, entertainment, and/or pop culture.
- 4‑5 + years of previous tour‑management experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledgeable about the client’s industry, brand, and product offerings.
- Confident in training and managing on‑site staff in each market.
- Capable of leading, managing, and diffusing customer concerns on‑site.
- Willingness to travel consecutive days for extended periods.
- Strong teamwork, initiative, problem‑solving, and independent work skills.
- Must live or have housing in a specified host city.
- Full availability to support all or majority of event days (mid‑May to mid‑July).
- Must remain in a stationary position at least 50 % of the time.
- Flexibility to travel domestically and work weekends or holidays as needed (anticipated travel level: Low 0‑15 %).
This position pays an annualized rate of $75,000 and is not overtime‑eligible.
