Empowered Building’s engineering team is actively recruiting a Project Engineer Intern to assist with ongoing projectdevelopmentanddeliverablesrelatedto

Local

Lawenergy compliance andASHRAE Level1,2,and3energy audit assessments.

Core Duties /Responsibilities:
  • Learnandassist in project development process working on technical assignments within team:
    • Technical Report Development  - Develop written findings and recommendations related to building equipment and collected data.
    • Utility Analysis - Organize,review, andreportfindings of utility data from customer building portfolios.
    • Calculations - Establishenergy usebaselines,identify energy saving opportunities, andcalculateenergy effects of recommendations.
    • Developmentofprojectdeliverablesasneeded.
  • Project Manage the implementation of energy conservation measures.
  • Assistwithprocess ofutilityrebate incentives during installation of engineered building upgrades.
  • Assistwithonsite audit data collection used to determine energy efficiency opportunities.
  • Performotherrelated assignmentsasneeded.
Required Skills / Abilities:
  • Proficient with Google Applications.
    • Strongproficiencyin Google Sheets  andDocs.
  • Abilitytointeract wellwithcustomersand team.
  • Abilitytoorganizeandself‐manageassignmentsand deadlines.
Preferred Skills /Abilities:

Basicunderstandingoforalearninginterest inthefollowing:

  • Engineering Principles–Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics,Thermodynamics
  • Methodsusedfortechnicalengineeringandutilitycostsavingsanalysis.
  • Abilitytoconduct in‐fieldenergyassessments(ASHRAELevel1,2,&
    3).
  • Basicunderstandingofenergyconservationprinciplesandtechniques.
Education and

Experience:
  • Pursuing Bachelor’sdegree in Mechanical

    Engineeringorrelatedtechnical field.
  • Experiencewithmechanicalrelatedsystemsanddemonstratedinterest in energy conservation.
  • On‐the-job training provided for comprehensive understanding of energy audit and analysis.
