A well-established and highly respected engineering and consulting firm in the Fairfield County area is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its growing Site Development team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who wants to work on a diverse range of residential and commercial land development projects while collaborating closely with senior technical experts and local stakeholders.
About the RoleIn this position, you will be responsible for developing detailed site plans, supporting land-use and construction initiatives, and delivering high-quality solutions to clients. You’ll work on a variety of projects—single-family homes, multi-unit developments, and commercial facilities—requiring both creativity and technical precision.
What You’ll DoDesign and prepare site plans for residential and commercial development projects.
Apply knowledge of structural and hydraulic engineering to support grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater management, and related components.
Collaborate with project managers, survey teams, and external partners to drive projects from concept through approval.
Utilize industry-standard design and modeling software to produce accurate and compliant plans.
Maintain high standards of client service, ensuring efficient communication and strong professional relationships.
Assist in permitting, technical documentation, and coordination with local agencies.
What We’re Looking ForB.S. in Civil Engineering (or equivalent education/experience).
Working knowledge of structural principles related to site development.
Proficiency with civil design software (such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar).
Experience or strong understanding of hydraulic engineering.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
