Overview
Sr Manager, Operational Material Management (Stanford, CT / Ontario, CA). Leads a small material planning and resource management team (2 - 3 people). Provides strategic guidance and implements policies to optimize operational efficiency and ensure timely delivery.
Your Role- Leads material planning, data setup and maintenance for material resource planning software, leads product life cycles, designs supplier-managed and owned inventories, and acts as a central contact and coordination point for global and key x-site suppliers while monitoring quality standards, targets, and methodologies for improving material planning processes; instills a quality-oriented mindset across operations to ensure consistent adherence to high standards throughout all facets of the organization.
- Monitors processes, identifies underlying causes of problems or inefficiencies, enables targeted interventions to minimize waste and enhance productivity, and identifies complex material shortage risks across suppliers; leads return orders, designs risk mitigation strategies, ensures efficient operations within n-tier supplier networks, leads cross-functional shortage review meetings and manages global shortage issues.
- Manages talent across the team, including talent selection, performance management, compensation management, and career development, ensuring effective operational management.
- Detects KPI trends, analyzes internal and external data, identifies improvement opportunities throughout the end-to-end supply chain, and generates and implements value-adding solutions with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- You’ve acquired a minimum 10 years of experience with Bachelor’s in areas such as Material Planning, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
- Your skills include proven abilities to lead teams/projects, excellent stakeholder management across supply planning, S&OP, factory as well as supplier management skills, and proficiency with SAP and Power BI.
- You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Economics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Data Analysis and Statistics, Business Analytics or equivalent.
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum physical, cognitive and environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
- You’re an effective communicator, proactive and great at building long-term relationships with customers and well organized.
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

The pay range for this position in Stamford, Connecticut is $114,000 to $183,000. The pay range for this position in Ontario, California is $122,000 to $196,000. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
