Senior Accountant

Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This opportunity is ideal for a retired Controller or former CFO looking to stay engaged in the workforce and leverage their extensive accounting expertise.

Experience with in the CPG food and beverage industry is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Manage general bookkeeping duties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.

+ Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports to leadership and stakeholders.

+ Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and key performance metrics.

+ Maintain and improve accounting controls and processes.

+ Research and resolve complex accounting and reporting questions with minimal supervision.

+ Collaborate cross-functionally with team members and external vendors, as needed.

+ Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).

+ Proven accounting leadership experience; retired Controllers and former CFOs are strongly encouraged to apply.

+ Demonstrated success in general bookkeeping and financial reporting.

+ Experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG), food, or beverage industry preferred.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to figure things out independently with little direction.

+ Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

+ Proficiency with accounting software such as Quick Books, Net Suite, or similar platforms a plus.

+ Ability to work efficiently in a remote setting.
