Senior Accountant

Description

Our team is seeking a Senior Accountant for a 6-month contract assignment onsite in Stamford. This role will play a key part in supporting the finance department's core accounting activities and month-end close, with a focus on leveraging Net Suite and advanced Excel skills to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Lead and perform month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals

+ Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports in accordance with GAAP

+ Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies as needed

+ Utilize Net Suite for transactional accounting, reporting, and process improvements

+ Develop and maintain complex Excel reports and models (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas)

+ Support internal and external audit requests, providing necessary analysis and documentation

+ Assist with process improvements and automation initiatives within accounting workflows

+ Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and other business partners to resolve issues and ensure accurate financial dat

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

+ 3+ years of experience in accounting, with demonstrated experience as a Senior Accountant

+ Hands-on experience with Net Suite (required)

+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas)

+ Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls

+ Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

+ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

+ Ability to work onsite in Stamford for the duration of the contract
