Base pay range$65,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr
Director, Accounting & Finance at Atlas SearchWe are seeking a Staff Accountant to join a growing accounting team in a fast‑paced environment. This role will support the month‑end close process, financial reporting, and audit support, while working closely with both internal teams and external auditors. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to develop strong technical accounting skills and gain exposure to a complex reporting environment.
Responsibilities- Perform monthly reconciliations between operational systems and the general ledger across multiple business units, including posting journal entries and resolving reconciling items.
- Review and analyze transactions and documentation to determine appropriate accounting treatment under US GAAP and/or IFRS.
- Assist in preparation of monthly P&L, balance sheet, and expense analysis reports for management review.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for internal, external, and regulatory reporting.
- Support quarterly and annual financial statement preparation.
- Work with external auditors by compiling requested schedules, backup, and explanations.
- Ensure accounting policies and standards are applied consistently and accurately.
- Monitor and keep current with relevant accounting guidance and regulatory updates.
- Assist in maintaining internal controls, process documentation, and SOX‑related procedures.
- Contribute to process improvements and participate in ad hoc projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience (public accounting + industry mix is a plus).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP; exposure to IFRS preferred but not required.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and follow‑up skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams.
