My client, a large Fleet company operating nationwide, are looking for a dedicated HGV Technician to join their team.

The technician is responsible for carrying out all work to a high standard within this busy municipal workshop facility, ensuring adherence to vehicle maintenance and compliance regulations. The role will involve ensuring that all paperwork and Fleet management system is completed timely, accurately and to a high standard and to carrying out repairs, maintenance, servicing to vehicles as and when required.
ResponsibilitiesAs an HGV Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Routine Servicing and Repairs:
Perform a variety of routine servicing, inspections, and subsequent repairs - Visual and Operational Checks:
Conduct checks to locate worn, dirty, or maladjusted parts - Technical Inspections:
Utilize technical manuals and diagnostic techniques to find and repair inoperable or defective machine parts, components, or systems using a range of test equipment - Accident Damage Inspections:
Undertake thorough inspections of accident-damaged machines and produce accurate reports to facilitate repair processes
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- HGV
Experience:
Previous experience working on a range of heavy goods vehicles - Technical Expertise:
Any previous HGV technician experience will be beneficial - Driving Licence: A valid UK driving licence and class 2 licence
- Qualifications:
NVQ Level 2/3 in HGV Maintenance and Repair (Preferred)
