Job SummaryWe are looking for experienced applicants, educated to degree level with an audiology qualification. This is a unique opportunity for individuals with a specialist interest in providing hearing assessments and rehabilitation for adults and children of all development ages, from newborn to school leaving age.
The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary team of extended scope Audiologists, Clinical Scientists, Newborn Hearing Screeners, clinical nurse specialists, voice therapists and ENT specialists to provide a full range of specialist-level services to the local population of approximately 360,000.
A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable as travel will be required.
Location of clinics:
Kingston, Roehampton, Woking, Redhill, Aldershot, Surbiton.
The department, accredited under the Improving Quality in Physiological Measurement Services (IQIPS) programme, delivers routine and complex paediatric and adult services. The team of fourteen highly qualified Audiology practitioners provides high‑standard care and participates in the South West London Clinical Networks. In this role you will:
- Provide hearing assessments and rehabilitation for adults and children.
- Operate independently while working effectively within a team.
- Exercise judgement based on up‑to‑date knowledge and experience.
- Travel between clinics as required.
Essential:
- Registered with (or eligible to be registered with) the AHCS (or equivalent).
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Bachelor degree in Audiology or equivalent knowledge base acquired through in‑depth service experience.
- Practical experience undertaking paediatric assessments and hearing aid fitting to adults and children.
- Ability to organise/coordinate care within community and acute care settings.
Desirable:
- Completion of ERA and balance course.
- Practical experience supporting volunteer support service.
- IT and Presentation Skills.
